Joanne Tanis

I was born and raised on Long Island, NY.  I then moved to Northwestern New Jersey where I attended and graduated from Wilfred Beauty Academy.  Throughout my career I have worked and trained in New York City, Chicago, Orlando, and Toronto, Canada.  I was a stylist/colorist for 12 years at Cottage Coiffures in Sparta, NJ before my family came to Bluffton, SC in 1999.  I was then a Master Hair Care/Stylist on Hilton Head Island for 8 years.  Before I knew it, my children had grown out of elementary school and Bluffton’s population had grown incredibly.  I knew it was time to make a change, so I brought my experience and creativity to Tara’s at Moss Creek nearly 4 years ago.  I continue to attend hair seminars to stay current with today’s hairstyles and trends.
